Alexios Kirilov joined Guinea Alumina Corporation S.A. (GAC) as Company Secretary in March 2019. Before joining the company, he was a senior associate at Shearman & Sterling’s International Arbitration Group. Mr. Kirillov has extensive experience in matters of construction, oil & gas, transport infrastructure, telecoms, the enforcement of arbitral awards, as well as highly sensitive, geopolitical investment arbitration cases and the protection of foreign investments, particularly in Africa and the Middle East.
Alexios Kirillov is an attorney at law at the Paris Bar and a lecturer at University Paris II Panthéon-Assas where he teaches international arbitration and state immunity. He holds a Master of Law from Oxford University and a law degree from the University Paris II Panthéon-Assas (Master of Business Law (DJCE), international business certification). Mr. Kirillov is a French, Greek and Russian national and speaks English, French, Russian and Greek fluently.
