Mohamed Mirza serves as a Senior Vice President, Metals and Mining at Mubadala Investment Company, where he is responsible for business development opportunities in the gold and precious metals sector. He is also the Chief Executive Officer of MINESA, a mining company supported by Mubadala and focused on the development of the Soto Norte Gold Project in Colombia.
After serving a wide range of clients across industries as Engagement Manager, Mr. Mirza left McKinsey & Company in 2013 to join Emirates Global Aluminium as a Strategy and Planning Manager. In 2014, following the completed merger between Dubai Aluminium and Emirates Aluminium and the creation of EGA, Mr. Mirza left the company to become Vice President, Manufacturing at Mubadala Investment Company. In 2018, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Metals & Mining.
Mr. Mirza is a board member of MINESA and Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC). He holds an MBA from INSEAD, a master’s degree in strategy & management of international business from ESSEC Business School, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the American University of Beirut.
