Mohamed Nagib has over 34 years of experience in corporate strategy, operations management, engineering, industrial asset management, manufacturing, environment, health & safety and technology development and transfer. He is currently Senior Advisor to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA).
Mr. Nagib joined Dubai Aluminium in 1985 as a project engineer and held a series of positions of increasing responsibility before becoming Executive Vice President of Operations in 2008. In 2014, after 28 years of service with the company, and following the merger between Dubai Aluminium and Emirates Aluminium, he became Senior Advisor to the Board of Directors of the newly created company, EGA, a position he held until 2016.
Mr. Nagib is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Guinea Alumina Corporation (GAC) and has been a board member of EGA since 2017. He previously served as an alternate board member of EGA between 2014 and 2017.
Mr. Nagib holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa, USA, and has undertaken a variety of specialised short-term management courses at MIT Sloan School of Management, Harvard Business School, Wharton Business School in the USA and IMD in Switzerland.
