GAC renews its contribution to local development through the FODEL with a new payment of GNF 15.9 billion in 2024

Kamsar, Wednesday, 16 April 2025 - Guinea Alumina Corporation S.A. (GAC) announces that it has made a contribution of 15.9 billion Guinean francs (GNF) to the Local Economic Development Fund (FODEL) for the year 2024, under the provisions of the Guinean Mining Code.

This amount adds to the more than GNF 72 billion already paid by GAC to FODEL since the launch of our operations in 2019, illustrating the continuity of our commitment to local communities.

This fund, set up by the Guinean authorities, aims to strengthen the local impact of mining activity by financing projects identified by communities in conjunction with local authorities. In particular, it helps to improve access to basic services, support local employment, and strengthen infrastructure in areas affected by mining activities.

GAC's contribution concerns the rural and urban districts of the Boké prefecture, where the company operates. Since the start of our operations, we have been committed to supporting local development efforts in close collaboration with the local authorities.

GAC remains fully committed to supporting the development efforts of local communities. This payment to FODEL is part of our commitment to continue to play an active role in the Boké region, in partnership with the local authorities and communities.
