Director General Malick N'Diaye decides to leave his functions.

Guinea Alumina Corporation S.A. (GAC) announced today that its Director General, Malick NDiaye, has decided to step down from his position effective June 30, 2022.

Kamsar, le 15 April 2022 --- Guinea Alumina Corporation S.A. (GAC) announced today that its Director General, Malick N'Diaye, has decided to step down from his position effective June 30, 2022. Malick’s decision is propelled by a combination of needing a break, reassessing the role of work in his life, and a desire to pursue new ventures.

Malick joined GAC in 2014 as Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to Deputy General Director and Head of Community Relations in 2019. In 2021, he was appointed as Director General, Head of Government Relations, Head of Human Capital, and Head of Community Relations. He was also supervising operations security.

GAC Chairman Abdulla Kalban declared: “We will miss Malick at GAC and at EGA more broadly. We are grateful to Malick for the energy, vision, and commitment he has demonstrated in our organisation these past eight years. On behalf of all of us, I wish Malick the very best in all his future endeavours.”

GAC's Board of Directors should announce the appointment of a new Director General soon, as well as organizational changes within the company's executive committee.
